Bones’ Birthday Party
Today is [the day we decided to be] Bones’ Birthday! Bones is the younger of my two cats, and she is now 2 years old! So I decided to have a little kitty birthday party to celebrate.
What the heck is a kitty birthday party, you might ask? It’s a lot like a kid’s birthday party. Except it requires a much smaller budget and it’s for cats. Yeah. Here were the supplies:
- Biscuits. For some reason, both my cats LOVE biscuits. Well, specifically, they like the soft dough that is inside of a biscuit. So I baked some. They split part of one biscuit and were super happy about it!
- Presents. In the case of this party, Bones needed a new collar. She likes to try and chew through her collars so she doesn’t have to wear them. So I figured I’d let her have the day off and go collar-free for the afternoon. We did get her a new collar and it will be around her neck by tonight. lol! :P
- Party Favors. If you have two cats (or two kids, or any set of two that can be jealous of one another) you can’t really expect to give one of the cats a present and the other cat won’t care. Of COURSE the other one cares. So we got these little canvas rectangles filled with catnip, it was a set of two so each kitty got one. The little catnip things were a BIG HIT with Twinkie. Bones didn’t really care so much.
It was so cute after the party. They were all hyped up after eating the biscuit. Then they were playing with their new toys which were filled with catnip so they got all strung out. Then they crashed hard and have been sleeping the rest of the afternoon.
Just like a kid’s birthday party! Didn’t you believe me?
